Finally, got to see my two BFAM's (Brother From Another Mother) for the first time in a few months, and discovered how much better the day is with them. I met BFAM #1- who is actually an ex boyfriend- first, and we chilled on the beach. He's so sweet and cuddly. :)
Anyways, when BFAM #1 went to a football session, I met BFAM #2 (who I've known for the longest) and his lanky friend on the beach. We'll call his lanky friend "Skin'ead", as he shaved all his hair off..? :)
Again, we all just chilled on the beach and BFAM #2 gave me a piggyback across the river so I didn't get my feet wet; aw shucks. At 8pm when it got kinda dark and cold, we sat in a hole dug out in the sand like hobos, snuggling up to Andy because he's surprisingly warm.
So, BFAM #2 and Skin'ead left and I went home and had a hot chocolate. Just when it seemed like nothing could ruin this perfect day, I get on the laptop and two of my mates have had a fall out and blah blah blah. I try to sort things out and I just get a load of shit so yeah, a pretty crap ending to the best day of my summer. So far.
Much love. x

Yet another nothingness day.
You guessed it. It's 20°C out there but I barely stepped outside the door, although to be honest I just don't feel like going out recently. It's a week 'til school, I'm not looking forward to it at all and I've spent the last three weeks doing absolutely nothing. I better make the most of this week, before I decompose on the sofa.

Routines.
Well, I've noticed a lot of people doing this lately, so here's details of what products I use etc.
Hair;
As my style is meant to be big and "poofy", it takes a lot of time and effort to keep it looking like that, but it's worth it.
#1. I start with TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray before straightening and blow drying. It makes a really big difference to your hair; reducing frizz and keeping it smooth and shiny.
#2. After spending at least thirty minutes turning my wavy hair straight, I flip my head upside down, brush and spray with Boot's Firm Hold Hairspray. Any hairspray will do and I don't see a difference between top brand sprays and shop own make so I go for a cheap option that does the job. Flip your head up again and you can already see that your hair has that added oomph already. Sometimes I need to flatten my fringe and spray that in place as well.
#3. Rub a little VO5 Soft Moulding Wax into your palms and fingertips, and begin clutching at the roots of your hair to bring it up and keep it there. As VO5 specialise in waxes and gels, this particular hair wax is one you can trust. Spray your hair again to keep the volume.
Make Up;
I do all my make up in a particular order, as I'm quite messy with my mascara etc. You don't have to follow the instructions in this order if preferred.
#1. I start with the eyes, and because I always end up with mascara all over my eyelids, I begin with that. Maybelline New York Colossal Volum' is probably the best mascara I've ever bought; with enough coats, you can look like you're wearing false lashes.
#2. A thin line of liquid eyeliner along your upper lash line will add emphasis, and my favourite is Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Liquid Liner. The product isn't too thick and the brush is smooth (some are brissly and itch when applying). If you want to add a flick, then you can.
#3. I cannot live without pencil eyeliner, and the one I use is Rimmel London Eye Liner Pencil in Soft Kohl. It never ever smudges and is so prominent that you only need to use a few coats. Also, it's not dry and flakey and lasts a hell of a long time. I put this along my bottom lashes.
#4. Eyeshadow. I don't bother to buy branded eyeshadows as I use too many colours and they're too expensive, so I just pick a colour that matches my outfit from my cheap eyeshadow palette, and apply all over my eyelid, smudging it up to just under my eyebrows.
#5. Before making my face look flawless, I find that a decent moisturiser stops foundation and concealer going dry, so I apply Olay Beauty Fluid all over my face. This may sound like a Granny moisturiser, and maybe it is, but it just works so well and feels really refreshing when put on that it doesn't matter. Apparently, a bottle is sold every three seconds. Can't be that bad.
#6. After the moisturiser has 'soaked in', I find it best to apply the concealer before the foundation. The one I use is 17 Hide Away Concealer Cream which comes in a lipgloss tube with a wand for easier application and precision. I dab this in my problem areas where my skin is slightly pink instead of beige, those areas being my chin, under eyes, upper cheeks and nose. Once rubbed in, it blends in to your natural skin tone really well.
#7. My favourite ever product is my foundation: Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mousse. It's a cream instead of a powder, so is applied easier. This covers up everything- spots, blemishes, uneven skin, freckles...
#8. I don't pay much attention to my lips, but when I do it's just some cheapy lipgloss. At the moment I use ColourWorks Lipgloss in Peach.

Back to school shopping.
There is no word to describe how much I hate school shopping. No-one has what you want, and if they do then it's only the fat sizes left. Anyhow I'm left with my stuff from last year for now.
Got some more skinny jeans and some hair wax though, so all is good. :)
I'm in love with Smallville, probably just because of Superman but hey.

A child at heart.
After seven hours at a kiddie's theme park I discovered that maybe water slides, drop slides and roundabouts aren't that bad after all. ;D
Aside from annoying, stumbling little children all over the place, me and my nephew had a good time messing around, being stupid. I've eaten way to much fudge, but was worth it I suppose; except I'm meeting someone tomorrow and am probably going to look like Mr Blobby. Ah well.
I would go into all the boring details of my day, but I got up really early (I never even knew that an 8 o' clock in the morning existed) and have a mega headache from the screaming kids.
Toodles. ♥

Scenee.
Finally, a haircut! I'm actually really pleased with it, the hairdresser done exactly what I wanted and although it's a bummer to straighten, I knew it would be like that. I was influenced by Brookelle Bones to get scene hair; a sweepy side fringe and layers. As my hair isn't as long as Brookelle's, I got to keep the length, and now I just have to see what happens when I tease it. Below is a photo I took yesterday. I'm not keen on the picture but others seem to like it and it's the only one I've got so, brace yourselves. x

Behold, Dumbo Dog.
Those of you who followed my previous blog will know about my basset hound puppy that I've had for about three months now. I finally got round to getting some pictures of her so here they are. :)

Welcome to "Purple Custard Mark Deux".
The original Purple Custard got old, and tacky, so I'm back to bring you a second blog which will hopefully be more of a success. Fyi, blogging is not my speciality and I try not blabber on too much but that's just my personality. I hope you enjoy what you read, though it's not that exciting to be honest.
Much love. :) x
